GEA Filtration does not manufacture membranes. Instead, we buy in membranes from various manufacturers to fit precisely the application each of our customers requires.
This has enabled us to develop a reputation as an independent adviser without bias to any particular membrane technology.

Due to their compact layout and large amount of membrane area per element, spiral membranes are typically used for high-flow applications with minimal or no suspended solids. Their advantage is low hardware and operating costs. Ceramic membranes are ideally suited for value-added or sanitary products, as well as applications requiring selective separations from fluid streams containing aggressive components such as solvents.
