A strong integration between the Process Description (PD) and Functional Design Specification (FDS) is the key to a successful process. As a consequence, these documents are always prepared by our Process Design & Engineering team in liaison with our Software Engineering team.
In order to provide continuity and integrity, the dedicated members of the Process Design & Engineering team as well as the Software Engineering team will be a natural part of the Installation and Commissioning team.
The Functional Design Specification (FDS) is prepared for easy programming. The GEA application software in SCADA, PLC and HMI systems is programmed according to the international S88 modeling structure.
GEA Liquid Processing can offer a wide range of software solutions depending on the application and complexity of the process. The choice of system platform and architecture is always made in close cooperation with the customer.
Based on a detailed item list automatically generated in the Bentley AutoPLANT CAE system, our Software Engineering team will define the hardware requirements and specifications related to the processing system.
From simple I/O levels such as GEA Tuchenhagen Valve Information System (T.VIS) to complex SQL databases for ERP systems, GEA Liquid Processing will through our modern approach to software engineering and project execution ensure a smooth integration with any existing software system.
