Separator from GEA Westfalia Separator
The GEA Westfalia Separator type MSE-01 is a skimming separator for milk and whey.
The MSE-01 is developed especially for the dairy industry providing high-efficient skimming of milk and whey as well as milk clarification and standardisation. Depending on the process, the minimum temperature for all applications is 25 - 55°C .
The separator is equipped with a self-cleaning disc bowl with a hydraulically operated piston for opening and closing the ejection ports of the bowl. The media is fed into and discharged from the bowl through a closed pipe system. There are no seals between the rotating bowl and the feed and discharge connections.
Cleaning-in-place (CIP) - Once the media flow has stopped, CIP is carried out. The cleaning solution is circulated through the centrifuge and the connected system. The solids spun out by the separation effect in the bowl are centrifuged out of the cleaning liquid.
The MSE type 01 are available within a capacity range from 2,500 l/h to 65,000 l/h.
Small laboratory models are also available in types MTE and MTC.
