When you want the refreshing taste of beer, without the intoxicating side-effects, non-alcoholic beer is the way to go. GEA Liquid Processing has the experience and know-how to provide complete production solutions when it comes to non-alcoholic beer.

Non-alcoholic beer is produced through the same process of cooking, sieving, heating and cooling, filtering and carbonating as “regular” beer, except the alcohol has been pulled out.

The fermentation process involved in the production of non-alcoholic beer is normally a much faster one than with regular beer (reduced from as much as 14 days down to 2 days). This presents the brewer with the opportunity to save not just time, but by reducing the number of fermentation tanks needed, also space. With non-alcoholic beer, the alcohol is gone, but the majority of the taste is not.

The Market
Non-alcoholic beer (together with malt beer) opens up the market, offering the taste of beer without the alcohol. While the market for non-alcoholic beer is currently small, it enjoys the kind of global access that alcoholic beer does not, for example in the Middle East.

Flavoured Beer
After the filtration process, a little extra taste can be added through malt concentrate. This could for example be a refreshing lemon taste, without the alcohol.
